Rowbin privacy
Short version: Rowbin collects nothing.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email required.
- No ads, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party scripts.
- Your projects, counts, notes, photos and patterns are stored only on your device, in your browser’s storage. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
- After the first load the app works offline and makes no network requests with your data.
- One exception: when you enter a Pro license key, the app sends that key (with the product ID, and nothing else) to Gumroad’s license API to confirm it’s a valid, non-refunded purchase. While you’re online it re-checks the key about once a month. Gumroad handles this under its own privacy policy.
- Backups are files you create and keep yourself.
- If you buy Pro, the purchase happens on the checkout provider’s site, under their privacy policy. Rowbin stores your license key only on your device. A license isn’t copied into backup files, so on a new phone you enter your key again.
- Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes everything Rowbin stored, so keep a backup.
